Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

A Primary School in Poulton are looking for a SEN TA who either has over 12 months experience in a SEN role or possess a level 2 (or higher) qualification.

Details of the role:

  • 3 days a week
  • Working 1:1 with a child in Y2 with MLD and some challenging behaviour
  • Work successfully and cooperatively with the SENCo and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants
  • Work closely with parents to ensure cohesion between school and home

The school is a one-form entry in Poulton with class sizes being no bigger than 28 pupils. Graded ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted, this school is reputable and well-regarded by its local community. The child who will be supervised is arriving to the school following the Summer Holidays in September. Part-time support will be required for the child, due to their educational and emotional needs. Therefore, the SENCo is hoping to secure a resilient and reliable candidate.

Details for the applicant:

  • September start (with the potential for this to run until the end of the acdemic year).
  • Level 2 qualification or above required, along with 12 months prior experience.
  • £70 per day (paid on a weekly basis).
