Job Title: KS3 SEMH Outreach Tutor

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Provide KS3 English and Maths tutoring to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Deliver outreach tutoring sessions in a supportive and engaging manner.
• Develop tailored learning plans to meet individual student needs and goals.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and their families.
• Collaborate with school staff and other professionals to support student learning and well-being.

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
• Strong knowledge of KS3 English and Maths curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with SEMH needs.
• Ability to create engaging and effective learning resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or related field.
• Experience in delivering outreach tutoring or support services.
• Familiarity with behaviour management strategies for students with SEMH needs.

Working Conditions:

• Part-Time hours, flexible schedule.
• Work primarily in student homes.
• Collaborate with school staff and external professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
