Job description

Job Title: KS3 English and Maths Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Harlow

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English and Maths tutoring sessions to Key Stage 3 students
  • Develop tailored lesson plans and educational materials to support individual student needs
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and resources
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing tutoring services in English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students in the East of England. The tutor will need to travel to different locations (students homes) within Essex, including Harlow, to deliver outreach sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
