Science Teacher – Secondary School in Bolton

Location: Bolton
Start Date: After the Easter Holidays 2025
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (MPS/UPS)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

A high-achieving secondary school in Bolton is looking for a fully qualified Science Teacher to join their team after the Easter Holidays. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a school with modern facilities, a supportive leadership team, and enthusiastic students who are eager to learn.

The Role:

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 for the right candidate.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Assessing and tracking student progress to ensure high attainment.
  • Working collaboratively within a well-established Science department to develop schemes of work and resources.
  • Taking part in extracurricular and enrichment activities within the department.

What We're Looking For:

  • UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree in a Science-related subject.
  • Experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at secondary level.
  • A passion for Science and a strong ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • The ability to work well within a team and contribute to the wider school community.
