Salaried Teacher Training Opportunity – Pathway into Secondary Teaching 

Are you a graduate looking to pursue a career in secondary education? Do you want a structured and salaried route into teaching? We are excited to offer an unmissable opportunity for aspiring teachers to join our Salaried Teacher Training Programme!

The Programme:

Year 1: Cover Supervisor Role

  • Work as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school, supporting students and delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Gain invaluable classroom experience, build your confidence, and develop your skillset in a supportive environment.
  • Receive ongoing training and guidance to prepare you for the next stage of the programme.

Year 2: Salaried Teacher Training

  • Transition to the salaried teacher training route.
  • Work full-time in your subject-specialist department while training to achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Earn an unqualified teacher’s salary during your training year.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Passionate and motivated graduates with a desire to teach in secondary schools.
  • A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Maths, Science, English, Geography, History, MFL, PE, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and engage young people.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
