Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Tameside
Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated psychology graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in secondary schools within the Tameside area, starting after the October half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a classroom setting and support the delivery of high-quality education.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in psychology and possess excellent communication skills. You should have a passion for working with young people and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the classroom teacher with lesson planning and delivery.
- Assisting in the preparation of teaching materials.
- Providing additional support to individual students or small groups.
- Helping to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
- Undertaking administrative tasks as needed.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in psychology or a related subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for working with young people.
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
- Experience with students who have special educational needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
