Job description

At Teaching Personnel, we are partnering with a school in Heywood that is actively searching for a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher. This school is building an inclusive and effective learning community where staff work together to inspire and support one another. The successful candidate will be offered a full-time position (8:30 am - 3:30 pm), starting after Easter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 students
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching experience
  • Take part in professional development to improve teaching practices

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to diverse student needs
  • Strong understanding of current educational trends and best practices
  • Proficiency in using technology to support learning

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with Year 5 or early career students
  • Strong classroom management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
