Job Position: KS2 - Year 5 Teacher

Start Date: September 2025

Daily Pay Rate: £130 - £180 (Pay-To-Scale)

Location: Wigan, WN1

Contract: Full time, Temporary (With a Golden Handshake offer of £100 upon securing a permanent position)

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a fully qualified Year 5 Teacher for an Ofsted “Outstanding” Primary School in the Wigan area. They believe “children succeed best in an atmosphere where high expectations are underpinned by core values such as tolerance, love forgiveness and respect as we seek to live out our mission Statement on a daily basis”. They are situated just off the A577, easily accessible via public transport links.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service
  • A UK address and the legal right to work in the UK
  • Enthusiasm and have a hands on approach to helping pupils achieve their goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents and colleagues
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement, assessing and monitoring pupil progress and consistently providing constructive feedback
