PPA Cover Teacher – South Shields
Location: South Shields
Contract: Until the end of the academic year
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated PPA Cover Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in South Shields. This role offers the opportunity to work across different year groups, delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting students’ learning in a positive environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Covering PPA (Planning, Preparation & Assessment) time across various classes.
  • Delivering engaging and pre-prepared lessons to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Working closely with other staff to maintain high teaching standards.

Requirements:

✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
✔️ Experience working across KS1 and KS2 is desirable.
✔️ Strong classroom management skills.
✔️ A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
