Job description

Permanent Cover Supervisor – Bring Learning to Life

We are seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to join a dedicated secondary school on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone looking to support students across a range of subjects and year groups, fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Classes: Oversee lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged.
  • Provide Instruction: Deliver pre-set lessons across various subjects, maintaining order and answering student queries as needed.
  • Support Learning: Assist students with their work, promoting a focused and respectful classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside teaching staff to support learning goals and handle classroom transitions smoothly.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in Education: Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage with students and staff professionally and confidently.
  • Adaptable and Flexible: Comfortable working across subjects and with students of varying ages and abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
