Cover Supervisor – Shape the Future with Flexibility and Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisor to work part time on your terms in Southampton schools. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about supporting students across different subjects and age groups while gaining invaluable classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Supervision: Manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on assigned tasks.
  • Provide Guidance: Deliver pre-set lessons across various subjects, supporting students in their understanding and maintaining a productive learning environment.
  • Behavior Management: Foster a respectful and safe classroom atmosphere, encouraging positive behavior and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the teaching and support staff, aligning your efforts with the school’s educational objectives and values.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous Experience in Education: Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role is advantageous.
  • Effective Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently engage with students of all abilities.
  • Adaptable and Reliable: Comfortable covering a range of subjects and year groups, with flexibility to respond to the school’s needs.
  • Motivated by Student Success: A genuine interest in supporting students and contributing to their educational journey.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
