We are now looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our wonderful team!

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Nursery Teaching Assistant with a minimum of 1 year’s experience in an Early Years setting. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young children and will be committed to supporting their social, emotional, and academic development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Support children in their learning through play, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, reporting back to the lead teacher.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure the well-being of all children and provide personal care as required.
  • Promote the development of communication and language skills.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain the nursery’s high standards.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience working in an early years or nursery setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • A warm, nurturing, and patient approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • DBS checked (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
