Maths Graduate Cover Supervisor – Full-Time Role
Location: Stockport
Contract: Full-time, starting ASAP until the end of the academic year
Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week

Teaching Personnel is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Maths Graduate to join a supportive and well-regarded secondary school in Stockport. The school, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Cover Supervisor in their Maths department. This role is ideal for recent graduates considering a career in teaching or those with experience working with young people in an educational setting.

The Role:

As a Maths Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the school’s teaching staff by covering lessons during teacher absences. You will be responsible for managing the classroom, delivering pre-set work, and ensuring students remain focused and engaged. While this is not a teaching role, it offers valuable classroom experience and the opportunity to develop your skills in behaviour management and lesson delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising classes in the absence of the teacher and delivering pre-prepared lesson materials.
• Maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
• Managing student behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
• Providing support and guidance to students where necessary.
• Liaising with teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Has a genuine passion for education and working with young people.
• Can confidently manage classroom behaviour and build positive relationships with students.
• Is adaptable, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience working in schools or with young people is desirable but not essential, as full support and training will be provided.
