Behaviour Learning Support Assistant – Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Basingstoke
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (initially through Teaching Personnel)
Start Date: As soon as possible (subject to vetting checks)

A small specialist school in Basingstoke is looking for a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. This school provides a fresh start for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated behaviours, supporting them to re-engage with education and prepare for a return to mainstream schooling.

About the Role:

• Work closely with students with SEMH needs, offering tailored support to help them re-engage with learning.

• Provide calm and consistent guidance, helping pupils manage their emotions and behaviours effectively.

• Support teachers in delivering lessons and adapting strategies to suit individual student needs.

• Help create a positive, structured environment where students can develop confidence and resilience.

Who We Are Looking For:

• A passionate, energetic, and patient individual with a strong interest in education.

• Someone with experience working with young people, ideally in education, sports, or a related setting.

• Experience supporting children with complex backgrounds, medical conditions, or mental health challenges is desirable.

• A team player who can build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff.
