Behaviour Learning Support Assistant – Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Basingstoke
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (initially through Teaching Personnel)
Start Date: As soon as possible (subject to vetting checks)
A small specialist school in Basingstoke is looking for a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. This school provides a fresh start for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated behaviours, supporting them to re-engage with education and prepare for a return to mainstream schooling.
About the Role:

Work closely with students with SEMH needs, offering tailored support to help them re-engage with learning.

Provide calm and consistent guidance, helping pupils manage their emotions and behaviours effectively.

Support teachers in delivering lessons and adapting strategies to suit individual student needs.

Help create a positive, structured environment where students can develop confidence and resilience.
Who We Are Looking For:

A passionate, energetic, and patient individual with a strong interest in education.
-
Someone with experience working with young people, ideally in education, sports, or a related setting.
-
Experience supporting children with complex backgrounds, medical conditions, or mental health challenges is desirable.

A team player who can build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
