About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of the pupils. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will help create a safe and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's individual needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children with profound and multiple learning disabilities in the classroom.
• Assisting with personal care tasks such as feeding, toileting, and changing, always ensuring the dignity and comfort of each child.
• Helping to implement personalised learning plans and therapeutic activities.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and the wider team.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

Who we’re looking for:

• Experience in a caring or support role is highly valued — many carers find this role a natural and fulfilling next step.
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to assist with personal care and manual handling (full training provided).
• Good communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
