Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Job Duties:

• Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
• Assist in the implementation of individual education plans
• Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons
• Help students with personal care tasks if needed
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers

Required Qualifications:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Education:

Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs

Experience:

Prior experience working with students with learning difficulties preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of different learning styles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Patience and empathy towards students

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in specific learning disabilities

Working Conditions:

Work primarily in a classroom setting, may involve assisting students with physical disabilities, may require standing for long periods

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
