Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEMH Tutor

Location:

England, Greater London, Tottenham

Job Duties:

1. Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

2. Create engaging lesson plans to support students' academic progress and emotional well-being.

3. Assess students' learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

4. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and reporting to relevant stakeholders.

5. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with SEMH students
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEMH support
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours
  • Temporary position
  • Work location in Tottenham, Greater London
  • Flexible schedule based on student needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
