Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEMH Tutor

Job Duties:

The English and Maths KS3 SEMH Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Duties include developing individual learning plans, delivering engaging lessons in English and Maths, monitoring progress, and adapting teaching methods to suit the students' needs.

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification

Education:

A degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Experience working with students with SEMH needs

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum, excellent communication skills, ability to create a supportive learning environment, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or SEMH

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The tutor will be based in Dagenham, Greater London, and will work closely with students, parents, and school staff to provide comprehensive support and education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
