Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Coggeshall

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop individualised learning plans to support students' academic progress
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess students' learning needs and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student support

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
  • Proficiency in assessment and evaluation techniques
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling
  • Work primarily within a learners home setting or local library
  • Travel to student homes for outreach sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
