There has been an increase of young people who are unable to attend and access school because of a variety of reasons, such as SEN needs, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and Lower Learning Levels. Here at TP, we work with local authorities across the country to provide high-impact, 1:1 tuition for these young people!
We are looking for Maths and English 1:1 tutors in Colchester and surrounding areas, to support KS3 students.
This tutor role involves:
- Working with children who have SEN/ SEMH needs or looked after (LAC).
- Providing educational sessions face to face with children at their homes or a public space e.g. library, community centre, etc.
- Planning resources around the child’s needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English and Science.
You will need to:
- Have QTS or be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or SEN/ SEMH experience!
- Be highly engaging and able to build effective working relationships with children
- Manage and implement a range of behaviour strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
