Job Title: English and Maths GCSE SEN Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:
- Provide tailored English and Maths tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at GCSE level
- Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding and confidence
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback to students and their parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Strong knowledge of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a SEN setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Ability to differentiate instruction to support students with diverse learning needs
- Proficiency in using various teaching resources and technology to enhance learning
- Strong organisational and time management skills
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
- Work primarily in learners homes or local libraries
- Potential for remote teaching or outreach sessions
- Collaboration with a team of educators and support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
