General Cover Teacher – Stockport (Immediate Start)

Location: Stockport
Position: General Cover Teacher
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Salary: £120 - £150 per day (depending on experience)

Do you enjoy variety and flexibility in your teaching career? A school in Stockport is seeking an adaptable and reliable General Cover Teacher to step in and support across a range of subjects, ensuring that students remain on track in the absence of their regular teachers.

The Role:

  • You will be covering a range of subjects across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, using pre-prepared lesson plans
  • Managing classroom behaviour, ensuring students remain focused and engaged
  • Delivering lessons in subjects outside of your specialism, with support from the school staff
  • Providing feedback to teachers on students' performance, classroom behaviour, and any issues that arise
  • Offering flexibility and adaptability, responding to the school’s daily cover requirements

About You:

  • QTS or extensive experience working in a teaching capacity in UK schools
  • Ability to manage a classroom, ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Comfortable stepping into a range of subjects and classes
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with a calm and confident teaching style
  • Willing to take on a variety of responsibilities and cover different subjects

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
