Job Title: SEN GCSE Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Greys

Job Duties:

  • Provide specialised tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in preparation for their GCSE exams (English, Maths and Science)
  • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to help students improve their academic performance
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Ability to create and deliver tailored learning programmes

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN educational strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Working Conditions:

This role is based in learners home settings in Greys, Essex. The position is part-time and temporary, with flexibility in working hours. The tutor will work to support the academic success of students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
