Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Halstead

Job Duties:

The English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor will provide tailored academic support to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This includes developing individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons in English and Maths, and monitoring student progress through regular assessments.

Required Qualifications:

A relevant teaching qualification and experience working with SEN students are essential. Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum is required.

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to SEN students at Key Stage 3 level.

Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of SEN students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using various teaching strategies and resources to support student learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in Special Education or SEN teaching methods would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing outreach support to students in the East of England. The tutor may need to travel to different locations (learners homes and local libraries) within the region to deliver sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
