Job Duties:

• Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) preparing for their GCSE exams.
• Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to meet the individual learning needs of each student.
• Assess students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve their academic performance.
• Collaborate with other educators and professionals to create personalised learning plans for students.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and any additional support provided.

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN students.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using technology to enhance learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a related field.
• Experience using alternative teaching methods, such as multisensory approaches.

Working Conditions:

• Part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling.
• Work primarily in learners homes or local libraries.
