English Teacher – Permanent Position (Bolton)

Salary: MPS/UPS (£31,650 - £49,084 per annum, dependent on experience)

A Bolton-based secondary school is looking for a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2025. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students make excellent progress. You will play a key role in curriculum planning, assessment, and differentiation, catering to a range of abilities. Beyond the classroom, you will have opportunities to contribute to extra-curricular activities, department development, and whole-school initiatives.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a fully qualified English Teacher with QTS, who has experience teaching at secondary level. The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.

• The ability to create engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students.

• Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining high expectations.

• A proactive approach to raising student attainment and fostering a positive learning environment.

Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
