Full-Time English Teacher – Bolton (April 2025 Start)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified English teacher to join the English department of a secondary school in Bolton, supporting students aged 11-16 across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

The Role:

  • Full-time English Teacher
  • Start date: April 2025
  • Teaching Key Stage 3 and GCSE English
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities
  • Paid to scale (£31,650 - £49,084)

The School:

Due to a restructure within the English department, this mixed secondary school is seeking an additional teacher to ensure all students receive the support they need. The school, located near Bolton town centre, has modern facilities, including interactive whiteboards and well-equipped ICT suites available for both pupils and staff.

Requirements:

  • QTS in English (or equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Experience teaching English up to GCSE level
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for English literature and language
  • Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities

Location & Accessibility:

  • Easily accessible via M62, M66, A580, and A56
  • Public transport links available from Bury, Farnworth, Horwich, and Salford

This role is open to both experienced English teachers and ECTs looking for a supportive and well-resourced teaching environment.
