Job description

Maternity Cover Teacher – Ideal for ECTs
Starting September 2025

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive primary school for a maternity cover position. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to gain valuable classroom experience in a nurturing and professional environment.

Position Details:

  • Role: Maternity Cover Teacher (KS1 or KS2)

  • Location:Lytham, FY8
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Duration: Until the post-holder returns

  • Salary: Paid in line with experience and Teaching Personnel pay scale (AWR after 12 weeks)

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A passionate and committed ECT looking to gain hands-on teaching experience

  • Someone who can create a positive and engaging learning environment

  • A teacher with strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A professional with a valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
