Are you an experienced and passionate Year 2 teacher with a strong understanding of phonics? A lovely, small primary school in Preston, PR1, is seeking a Year 2 Teacher to join their team for the full academic year. The Role:

As a Year 2 teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the curriculum to a small class of Year 2 pupils. You will play a key role in ensuring students meet their learning targets, with a particular focus on phonics, reading, and early literacy development.

  • Phonics Experience is Essential: A solid understanding of phonics teaching strategies and experience applying them in the classroom.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.

  • KS1 Experience: Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2) is highly desirable.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage with pupils, parents, and staff members.
