Job description

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Hazel Grove

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £88 - £98 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervise students in the absence of a teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed
  • Report back on student progress and behaviour to teaching staff

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young adults
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and engage with students effectively

Education:

A-levels or equivalent qualification

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working within a school environment, following school hours and term times. The individual will be required to maintain a professional demeanour and uphold the school's policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
