Job Duties:

• Supervise students in the absence of the regular teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans under the guidance of teaching staff
• Ensure students are engaged and on task during lessons
• Assist with administrative tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure

Education:

Minimum of GCSE level education

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of classroom management techniques
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with teaching staff
• Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Higher education qualifications related to education or child development
• First aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school setting, following the school's schedule and policies. The Cover Supervisor may need to adapt to different classroom environments and student groups.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
