Cover Supervisor & Teaching Assistant – Tameside Secondary School

Are you looking for a rewarding role in education? A secondary school in Tameside is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor & Teaching Assistant to provide classroom cover and learning support.

Role Details:

Location: Tameside
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £89 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher

• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

• Support students with their learning, both in small groups and one-to-one

• Assist teaching staff in preparing resources and lesson materials

• Provide pastoral support and encourage student engagement

Requirements:

• Experience working with secondary-age students (teaching assistant, tutor, or classroom experience preferred)

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• A passion for education and supporting student progress

• Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA qualification desirable but not essential)

• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
