Job Vacancy: Behaviour Support Officer (Full-Time)
Location: Bacup, Lancashire
Start Date: January 2025

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Behaviour Support Officer at our secondary school in Bacup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted behaviour support to students, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to develop behaviour plans and strategies.
- Assist in managing challenging behaviour, helping students to remain engaged in their education.
- Support the development of a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and track student progress, offering guidance to improve their behaviour and learning outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting or a similar support role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in dealing with challenging behaviour.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider school team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
