Join Our Team as a Behaviour Support Assistant in Kirkham!
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to work with a Year 6 pupil at one of our client schools in Kirkham. This rewarding role is set to commence after the February half term, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life during a crucial stage of their education.
The Role:
- Position: Behaviour Support Assistant
- Start Date: After February half term
- Location: Kirkham
- Year Group: Year 6
- Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday. 08:30-15:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a Year 6 pupil, helping to manage and improve behaviour.
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil, fostering their emotional and social development.
- Collaborate with class teachers and SEN staff to implement behaviour management strategies.
- Monitor progress and adapt support plans to meet the pupil’s needs.
- Promote a calm, inclusive, and nurturing environment to support learning.
What We’re Looking For:
- A patient and empathetic individual with experience in behaviour support or similar roles.
- Ability to engage positively with children facing challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management or education (preferred but not essential).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
