Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans
- Help students with academic tasks and personal care needs
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Support students during classroom activities and outings
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young adults
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Experience working with children or young adults
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of learning difficulties and disabilities
- Ability to provide academic and emotional support to students
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- First Aid training
Working Conditions:
- Work in a school environment
- Full-time hours with occasional weekend or evening work
- May involve some physical activity such as assisting students with mobility
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
