KS2 Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) – SATs Booster Support

Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant (Year 6 SATs Booster Support)
Contract: Full-Time

Are you passionate about education and committed to helping pupils achieve their best? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school team in Accrington. This full-time role focuses on providing targeted support to small groups of Year 6 pupils as they prepare for their SATs.
About the Role
As a KS2 TA, you will:
- Work closely with Year 6 teachers to plan and deliver engaging SATs booster sessions in Maths, Reading, and Grammar.
- Provide tailored support to small groups of pupils, helping them build confidence and improve key skills.
- Monitor and track pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Support the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with general classroom duties and other responsibilities as required.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who are:
- Experienced or newly qualified in supporting KS2 pupils, particularly Year 6.
- Passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
- Confident in delivering support in core SATs subjects (Maths, Reading, Grammar).
- Excellent communicators, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Organised, proactive, and able to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
