Job description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at a secondary SEMH school in Salford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEMH needs, assisting them in managing their behaviour and emotions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, helping them build confidence and resilience.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (can be obtained through Teaching Personnel).
  • References covering two years of employment history.
  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
