Are you passionate about empowering students with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel, a leading educational staffing agency, is actively seeking empathetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants across Manchester

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide personalised one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN in both mainstream and SEN-specific settings. 

  • Collaborate closely with teachers to create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. 

  • Assist students with academic tasks, including literacy, numeracy, and life skills development, adapting teaching materials as necessary. 

  •  Implement effective behaviour management strategies and provide emotional support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. 

  •  Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the holistic development and well-being of students with SEN. 

Requirements: 

Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to working with individuals with diverse learning needs is essential. 

Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support, education, psychology, or a related field (desirable but not essential). 

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is not necessary.  

Subject to Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo this process).

- Exposure to a variety of educational settings, including mainstream schools, specialist SEN schools, and inclusion units. - Ongoing training and support from a dedicated team of SEN specialists.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
