Calling all aspiring Teaching Assistants!

Are you an aspiring teacher? Are you looking to gain more experience in the classroom? Are you looking to make a difference to the lives of young people? If so we would love to hear form you! 

Our welcoming and vibrant secondary school is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join their team as Teaching Assistants and classroom support. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a large, supportive school environment where you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be helping students who require additional support to thrive academically and socially. You will work closely with both teachers and SEND specialists to support students with needs such as autism, ADHD, social, emotional, and mental health challenges, as well as those exhibiting challenging behaviour.

What we are looking for:

  • Prior experience working with children, whether in the classroom or through personal experiences (e.g. volunteering, family support).
  • Experience with SEND, particularly autism, ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour, is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • A proactive and patient approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Enthusiasm for helping students achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
