About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support in the classroom. You will assist teachers in delivering lessons, provide one-on-one support to students, and help students develop the skills they need to succeed both academically and socially.

The role will primarily focus on supporting SEND students, but there may also be opportunities to provide general classroom cover for absent staff.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Prior experience working with children in any setting – whether professional (as a support worker, teaching assistant, youth worker) or personal (e.g. family, volunteering, caregiving).
  • Experience or an interest in working with children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour is highly advantageous, but not essential.
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach with the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed and thrive.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible working hours – full-time or part-time roles available (3-5 days per week), with the opportunity to adjust hours based on your availability.
  • Training and professional development – we provide ongoing training to enhance your skills in SEND and teaching support.
  • A welcoming and supportive school environment – you will be part of a team that is committed to creating a positive impact on students’ lives.
  • Opportunities to develop your career – this role is ideal for someone looking to gain more experience in education or transition from a support worker background into a school setting.

If you are passionate about supporting young people with SEND and want to be part of a school that values your contributions, we would love to hear from you. Join us in making a real difference and helping our students achieve their full potential!
