About the Role
We’re looking for dynamic, compassionate Teaching and Learning Support Assistants to work in secondary schools across North Liverpool. This is a rewarding role where you’ll provide essential support to students of all abilities, including those with additional needs, helping them thrive both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities:
- One-on-One and Group Support: Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups, helping them overcome learning barriers.
- Assist Classroom Activities: Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and keep students on track with their learning objectives.
- Encourage and Empower: Motivate students to build confidence, develop independence, and take pride in their achievements.
- Adapt and Engage: Help with classroom management, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of each student.
- Monitor Progress: Work with teaching staff to track and report on student progress, adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting (not essential but desirable).
- A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students’ well-being and academic growth.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, teachers, and parents.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude toward adapting to new challenges.
- Patience and empathy in working with students of all abilities, including those with additional needs or requiring extra support.
- Enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
