Teaching Assistant
Job description
The school is a Special School for young people ages 7-19 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). All students who attend the school have complex learning needs including Autism (ASC) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and require a specialist setting to help them learn and achieve. They have excellent on-site facilities including a sensory room, soft- play and therapy spaces which enable targeted support to be put in place for all students according to their individual needs.
You will be working as a class-based Teaching Assistant. This will involve supporting the teacher with the lessons and helping pupils with their work. You will also be required to support children on a 1-1 basis and will be responsible for behaviour management and providing emotional support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
