Job description
Teaching Assistant required for an outstanding special school located in Yeovil, Somerset. We cater to students with a range of complex learning difficulties, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our dedicated staff team works collaboratively to create a supportive, engaging, and inspiring learning experience for our students.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support students in their learning and development, ensuring a safe and positive environment.

Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities that meet individual needs.

Work closely with other professionals, including therapists and support staff, to implement strategies that promote student progress.

Provide personal care and support where necessary.

Encourage communication, independence, and confidence in students.
- Support students on a 1:1 basis where required.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with experience in SEN settings or those looking to begin a rewarding career in special education. Ideal candidates will have:

A compassionate and patient approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting. Those with EYFS/Nursery experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of our students.

A playful and energetic personality

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
