Position: Teaching Assistant
Start Date: April 2025
Salary: £400-£500 a week, depending on experience

About Us:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, working closely with both students and teachers to ensure every learner reaches their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on the academic and personal development of students.

Job Description:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and ensuring students are fully engaged in their learning. You will assist in both classroom and small-group settings, helping students with a range of abilities and needs. This role offers the chance to be part of a supportive team and gain valuable experience within the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of lessons across various subjects.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students who require additional help.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development, both in and outside of the classroom.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behaviour.
  • Assist with classroom organisation and the preparation of teaching resources.
  • Help with the monitoring and assessment of students’ work.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or other additional learning needs.
  • Encourage students to develop positive attitudes towards learning and school life.

Key Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for supporting students in their education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school.
  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide at least two professional employment references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
