Are you looking for either part-time or full-time Teaching Assistant work?

Do you want to work in Ofsted Outstanding and Good Secondary Schools in South Manchester?

Teaching Personnel are looking to register a number of Teaching Assistants to work in a range of Secondary schools in Trafford/Stockport and South Manchester from September. If you have experience in a TA role or a similar role that would provide you with transferrable skills and are looking for either full-time or part-time work then please attach a CV in order to be contacted by someone from Teaching Personnel to discuss registration.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting students within schools in either a small group or one to one setting. The pupils will require additional support throughout a range of subjects and you will be helping mainly with their literacy and numeracy skills – so somebody who is strong in this area is essential. Any candidates who are bilingual are also encouraged to apply as you could be offered a role as an EAL (English as Additional Language) Teaching Assistant. This would involve working with students who may have only just moved to the country recently and require support in their school work, where you would be helping the class teacher by explaining the tasks to the students.

  • Pay: £77- £85 per day depending on experience based on a 6.5 hour working day
  • Part-time and full-time flexible roles on offer
  • Ofsted Good and Outstanding school in South Manchester (including Trafford/Stockport)
  • Essential: prior experience in a similar role/strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Desirable: Speaks additional language such as Urdu or Punjabi

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a classroom setting and will be able to build strong working relationships quickly. They will also be empathetic and have a high level of patience, as working with students will require you to show a level of understanding that you appreciate what they are struggling with and will know how best to overcome any obstacles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
