Primary Teaching Assistant – Fixed Term Contract
Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: 1-Year Fixed Term (with the potential for a permanent position)
Salary: Dependent on experience

An esteemed Multi Academy Trust, known for its unwavering commitment to excellence in education and holistic pupil development, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join the team at their highly regarded Macclesfield school.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils, either in small groups or one-to-one settings, to enhance their learning outcomes.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere, promoting the social and emotional development of all pupils.
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and strategies for pupils with additional needs.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate actively in school events, meetings, and training sessions to further professional growth.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
  • Have prior experience in a classroom setting, ideally within the primary education phase.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • Be adaptable, proactive, and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic school environment.
  • Show a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
