Primary Cover Supervisor – Long-Term Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Ellesmere Port
Contract: Initially a 1-Year Fixed-Term Contract (Potential for Permanent Appointment)
Start Date: January 2025
A highly reputable Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Primary Cover Supervisor to join the team at one of its outstanding schools in Ellesmere Port. Role Overview:
The Primary Cover Supervisor will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality teaching and learning during teacher absences. This includes delivering pre-planned lessons across all year groups, ensuring a smooth continuation of students' educational experience, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and delivering pre-prepared lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
- Providing constructive feedback to teachers on pupil progress and lesson outcomes.
- Supporting students in their learning, ensuring engagement and focus.
- Assisting with general classroom duties and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements for the Role:
- Experience working in a school or educational setting (essential).
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the confidence to work across various year groups.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Degree or relevant Level 3 qualification.
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
- Understanding of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
