Job Duties:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering educational activities - Assist in preparing learning materials and resources - Provide one-to-one support to students with learning difficulties - Supervise students during lessons and break times - Help maintain a safe and orderly learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths - Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification - DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
Education:
- Minimum of GCSE level education
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a team - Patience and empathy when working with students - Basic understanding of child development and learning processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification - Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) support
Working Conditions:
- Regular working hours during school term time - Work primarily within a classroom setting - May involve some outdoor supervision duties during break times - Opportunity for professional development and training
