Job description

TA roles for University Students.

Are you a university student looking to gain experience working in education or simply looking to earn some money alongside your degree? Teaching Personnel is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant role in Secondary schools across Cardiff and Caerphilly.  This role is perfect for those looking to explore a career in teaching, education, or child development.

8:30 – 3:30

£80 - £90 per day

Start – ASAP

We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide general and 1:1 support across a verity of subjects.  You will be joining welcoming and experienced teams, who are passionate about creating a supportive learning environment for all students.  Schools will offer continuous support, professional development, and constructive feedback. 

Role Duties:

-          Supporting the teacher whenever required.

-          Create a fun environment in the classroom for children to thrive.

-          Develop a working rapport with the students.

-          Provide a safe space for the students to develop their learning.

-          Find an effective way to deliver feedback for the student’s efforts.

-          Promote a child-led approach.

-          Deal with potentially challenging behaviour.

The Ideal Candidate will:

-          Have a positive, energetic & patient mindset.

-          Have a passion for helping others.

-          Want to enhance every child’s learning experience.

-          Be comfortable in a school setting.

-          Have a strong motivation to improve their own skills in a learning environment.

Essential Criteria:

-        Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (we can help you obtain this!).

-        Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

-        Able to provide two professional or academic references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
