Pay - £80 - £90

Start – ASAP

Hours – 8:30 – 3:30

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a Secondary School in Cardiff.  The position will be full time, working alongside the classroom Teacher in controlling the classroom and helping students as and when needed.  The ideal candidate will be confident working with children with varied abilities, to ensure each child has the same opportunity to develop.  There may be instances where you will be supporting small groups of children to assist with their learning or working with children on an individual basis to provide additional support if needed. 

**No Experiences Required**

Main duties required:

-          Provide 1:1 support to children with additional learning needs and to those who struggle to concentrate.

-          Conduct intervention work with small groups or on an individual basis, which may include taking children to the school’s sports facilities to keep them engaged and active.

-          Assist the Teacher and support students throughout classroom activities.

The school is seeking an energetic and hardworking individual to join their friendly team. They are looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas and a positive attitude to the classroom, inspiring students and contributing to a vibrant learning environment where every child can thrive.

What you will need:

-          Enhanced DBS (child only) checks must be completed before a role will commence – Teaching Personnel can help with this.

-          EWC registration is a mandatory requirement in Wales.

-          Achieved Maths and English GCSE – grade C or equivalent.

-          Experience working with children professionally or personally desired but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
